INCLUSIVE PRESCHOOL EDUCATION IN MALAYSIA
A Comparative Study of Present Situation & Future Direction

Children with special needs are children first and foremost. They deserve a chance to play and learn among their typically developing peers.

In Malaysia, one major challenge faced by parents of a young child with special needs is finding a regular preschool for their special child.

The study aims to find out the present situation of inclusive preschool education and gauge its future directions. Some of the questions asked and answered include recent statistics on children with special needs enrolled in preschools, reasons for non-enrolments and likelihood for future enrolments, and preschool operators' opinions on inclusive education.
