In cooperation with NISHASSAI, ACS coordinates this project whereby used wheelchairs are re-conditioned by technical high school students in Japan and shipped over for disabled people in Penang. Since 2000, 3 deserving individuals have received two battery-powered wheelchairs and one motorized tri-scooter respectively.
With our networks, ACS has also assisted with the delivery of wheelchairs from Japan to Sabah and Singapore. On a regular basis, ACS collects used wheelchairs and works with local service clubs such as Lion Club of Georgetown to distribute them out to needy people in the community.
