INTRODUCTION
The name of this group is Mutiara Voice Club, which was set up on Saturday 11 th June 2005 by a group of members from the ACS Stepping Stone Support Centre.
THE AIM OF OUR CLUB

We are able to speak up for ourselves. |

We are able to make our own decisions. |

We are able to work. |

We are able to manage our own lives. |

We are able to be independent. |
|
We have the ability to run our own club and activities. |

We can help similar people like ourselves or even those who are weaker than us. |

We can get to develop friendship with many others throughout the country. |

We want to voice out the rights of people with intellectual disabilities. |

NATIONAL SELF ADVOCACY CONFERENCE
MVC members also participate in the National Self Advocacy Conference, largely helmed by United Voice. In 2009, Mutiara Voice Club had the honor of organizing and hosting the 3nd NSAC, held at the YMCA Penang. 120 delegates in attendance adopted the resolution.
MEMBERSHIP
MVC is opening up its membership to include all people with intellectual disabilities living in Penang. We are also looking for supporters who can assist us with funding, administration, transport etc.. Please fill in this form.
